Monthly scheduled classes or hire me for your own mini-retreat!
Restorative yoga is relaxing and blissful! My sessions commence with Gentle Somatic Yoga(R) - some lazy, slow movements to unwind physical tension before the practice slows down to a standstill. Then, lying on a yoga mat, supported by bolsters and blankets, you'll be guided through a simple breathing technique to help you move from wired and tired, to soothed and rested
Experience the benefits of guided meditation and mindfulness techniques while you sink into deep relaxation. Practiced regularly, Restorative Yoga can restore energy levels, improve sleep, re-balance the nervous system and counteract the effects of a busy life
No yoga experience or flexibility required. Beginners are very welcome
Please let me know before class if you're pregnant or suspect that you may be
WHAT HAPPENS IN A RESTORATIVE YOGA MINI-RETREAT?
Using guided mindfulness techniques as a tool to change levels of stress in the moment, guided meditation to soothe the nervous system and silence during Savasana, sets the scene for profound relaxation to take place
After some slow, practically effortless movement to release physical tension, you'll be guided through around 3-5 simple yoga poses, all done lying down. The shapes your body makes take your spine through it's various ranges of movement and are held from 5-20 minutes. Your comfort throughout is of the utmost importance so if a shape that's suggested doesn't suit your body, there are alternatives
The intention of slowing right down is to nourish your body, mind and spirit and reset your nervous system
Deep rest in a neutral environment can help us cope with stress and challenging times
A NOURISHING EXPERIENCE THAT MAY
Improve your sleep
Re-balance the nervous system, encouraging a shift from flight, fight or freeze, into rest, digest and repair
Replenish your energy levels through constructive deep rest
Counteract the effects of stress
Deep rest such as this can help balance hormones and lower cortisol levels

CHECK YOUR DIARY CAREFULLY!
To keep costs down, there are no refunds issued. If you can no longer make the session, please send a friend along in your place
In 2023, I've reduced the price AGAIN to make Restorative Yoga more affordable, by abolishing the booking fee
The other change is that I no longer offer afternoon tea at the end of the session for a number of reasons, the main one being attendee preference for floating away home quietly at the end of the session to retain the deeply rested feeling for as long as possible
Restorative sessions are open to adults + start with extremely slow flow somatic yoga to unwind, re-set and relax physical, emotional and mental tension

CLOTHING FOR RESTORATIVE YOGA
Please note, after an initial gentle movement sequence to unwind and slow down, you'll be lying still for the remainder of the class which means your body temperature may drop. To help yourself totally relax, your comfort is of the utmost importance, so please wear lots of layers to stay at a comfortable temperature. Blankets and in some sessions warm basalt stones are provided for additional warmth and comfort but please wear socks, two to three tops and cosy leggings or tracksuit bottoms so you have layers to remove or add to stay at the perfect temperature for deep relaxation
*warm basalt placement stones are contra-indicated in some health conditions so please always check with me that they're suitable for you
