I CAN'T GET ON THE FLOOR EASILY, WHAT CLASS CAN I ATTEND?
CRITERIA FOR ATTENDANCE
For your comfort and safety in your yoga practice, I’ve created a guide to which of my classes best suit your level of mobility. Please contact me if you need clarification or would like to arrange a private yoga session where we can work together to create a yoga practice that's tailored to you
MULTI-LEVEL CHAIR YOGA (AMICI HOUSE)
Enjoy all the benefits of yoga while seated. Absolute beginners are very welcome as are those that prefer and require a seated class due to mobility, eyesight, Osteoporosis or balance issues.
Perfect for you if you have balance, joint + other health issues that make a seated practice safer + more comfortable. We will do part of the class standing up holding onto the back of the chair for support to build leg strength + work on improving balance
GENTLE HATHA YOGA (AMICI HOUSE)
Gentle mat yoga requires participants to be able to lie down on a yoga mat and get up and down off the floor to partake in gentle standing + balance poses. There’s the optional use of a chair to lean on for standing poses to build leg strength and work on balance
MULTI-LEVEL HATHA YOGA (AMICI HOUSE + YOGA 4 LIFE)
More challenging than the Gentle Mat Yoga Class with multi-level options to suit those who want a stronger practice. For this class, you need to be able to easily get up and down off the floor, be able to lie on your back, sides, front and be able to sit on a bolster for the seated part of the class. During standing balance poses, you could use the wall
RESTORATIVE YOGA (YOGA 4 LIFE)
A still practice done on the floor so you need to be able to lie on a yoga mat on your back and sides during this relaxing class
GENTLE SOMATIC YOGA (YOGA 4 LIFE)
A gentle movement class done on a yoga mat on the floor, requiring you to be able to get up and down from the floor unaided and be able to lie on your front, back and sides
